Reconciliation Exhibition

Inspired by a Spanish Civil War PosterI’ve got a picture in a group exhibition called “Reconciliation” at The Funky Aardvark(!?) 51 Bridge Street Rows East, Chester CH1 1NW. Not my usual sort of image – the face is a photo of a statue I photographed in Washington DC in 1989, the planes are from the font Carta. It was done at the time of the second Iraq War and is based on the Spanish Civil War poster “If you tolerate this, then your children will be next”.

  1. I’m glad to see The Manic Street Preachers, who recorded a song based on the Spanish Civil War poster, are taking action against the racist English Defence League for using their song without permission, any understanding of what it was about or any sense of irony:
